The contestants were first narrowed down to five with a dance contest, and then had to come out on stage in their undies. But that was just the beginning... Next, the boys had to battle each other for wigs, lipstick, heels, miniskirts and more in the quest to be the best "5 minute drag queen" and hopefully get to be the winner who goes to WKTU's sold-out Miracle on 34th Street featuring performances by Alicia Keys, Shakira, Mya, Shaggy, Mariah Carey, Blu Cantrell, Deborah Cox, Kevi Ceballo, Marc Anthony and more! We wrapped up this super-fun night with birthday parties for Wil and Rodrigo!

Kurfew's "Ms. Face"



Ms. Face was born at Kurfew and became a high-demand "female" model. But her true notoriety came when this cute Kurfew boy successfully entered and WON the 2000 Miss Morocco beauty pagaent!!!



Come meet Nasim as she hosts the "Kurfew Drag Race" contest with an outstanding array of prizes!



A packed Kurfew greeted Nasim, a/k/a Ms. Morocco, on December 1st. Nasim is the Kurfew boy who managed to confuse everybody and win this national beauty pageant title. Nasim hosted the "Nearly Naked" contest in which five Kurfew boys and girls got....well, "nearly naked," at Ms. Morocco's goading...and in quest of some really cool prizes. This week and next Kurfew is giving away tickets to WKTU's sold out "Miracle on 34th Street" concert at Madison Square Garden, as well as other exclusive prizes. In the Arcadia Room we celebrated DJ Septum's birthday, complete with tasty birthday cake and unusual condom-shaped baloons (our decorator SWEARS she purchased these in the children's department).

The Military Boys joined another crowded Kurfew night on November 24th. We've never straight boys so happy to entertain gay boys and girls, but if this is a new trend we can certainly live with it! After a few mandatory push ups, the boys offered to sing a cadence to the Kurfew Krowd. But as patriotic as any young American is, the Kurfew boys and girls wanted more..."Give us a strip show!" they demanded. What happened next will be left partially to pictures, and the rest to history. Let's just leave it at, "Don't Ask...Don't Tell." = )

The film centers on Johnny Rebel -- a porn star with a problem! Although he is straight, Johnny makes a living as a gay porn star. The reason? Money! Sean McGinnis, a young, naive guy moves to L.A. to become an actor but gets hooked on the porn industry because of his attraction to Johnny. While Sean makes contact with Johnny, Johnny is also involved with a strip dancer by the name of Babylon. The porn industry provides the setting for this unusual triangle. However, while Johnny's obsessed with his fan base, his complicated loves with 2 different people will soon get him into a very precarious situation. Directors and cast members from the new movie, "The Fluffer," squeezed their way through a crowded Giger Room to celebrate the launch of their new movie. Supercute star Michael Cunio told us what it was like to play the role of a "fluffer" for "straight porn star hunk Johnny Rebel." If you haven't seen the movie yet, it's playing at the Quad Cinema, 34 West 13th Street. We wrapped up the night with a birthday celebration for Kurfew host Jay.

EVENT NEWS: With a last-minute relocation to Vinyl, Kurfew's 4th Annual HalloQueen contest was a bit crazy...but then again, that's the point of HalloQueen! While the Kurfew DJs kept the costumed kids shaking in the Kurfew Room, DJ Scott Henry (Buzz) whipped the main floor into a frenzy. The 1st and 2nd prize winners get tickets to Britney Spears sold-out Nassau Coliseum concert on November 7th. Pictures of the other winners are coming soon on the Kurfew Pics Page!

EVENT NEWS: Our October 13th Rainbow Boys party, for the new Simon & Schuster book about the lives of three young gay men, was a blast! Author Alex Sanchez signed some autographs and read some steamy paragraphs from his new book, while the Simon & Schuster people gave away some copies and other goodies. Did you win a copy?
