Saturday,
September 1st, 2001 Freshmen "Orientation" Party |
Wow...our Freshmen Orientation party on September 1st was never supposed to be like this! Not only is the "incoming class" cuter and ever, but the boys and girls returning to Kurfew from their faraway lands had an energy and enthusiasm that we haven't seen for a while! All the jumping and screaming on the dance floor as favorite songs came up created what one long-time Kurfer described as "the most magical night ever!!!" As a reminder, Kurfew expands to two additional rooms within two weeks, giving much-needed additional exclusive space, so stay tuned!!! |

Gigi has many fans, as was evidenced by the enthusiastic crowd on August 11th. After a fun Chandlier Room celebration for Tori's birthday (including guest DJ Tritium and the obligatory cake-in-the-face-and-all-over-the-place mess) we headed back into the Scharf room where we handed out tons of Gigi D'Agostino giveaways courtesy of Arista records, and played his his smash club hit "I'll Fly With You," and others. The best part came when the Kurfew Krew handed out a couple hundred "Gigi" glowsticks, and the Scharf Room lit up in green and blue light! An incredible sight! |
The
August 4th dance contest with Astralwerks was a BIG success! The
three winners (left) walked off (actually, they danced off) with prize
packages from Astralwerks after showing off their
fiercist dance moves. If you missed this week's event, don't worry...we
have many more contests coing up!!!

Take that boyfriend and "Hit 'Em Up Style" Blue Cantrell Style!!! Record Release Party with giveaways from Arista Records! |
Hit 'Em Up Style is what the Kurfew patrons prepared to do on July 28th as they listened to the latest music from Blu Cantrell...and while many walked away with CDs and vinyls from this hot new artist. Alex
"Tech" Aviance kicked off the launch of the new Chandelier room...more
surprises are in store over the next couple of weeks. We also celebrated
Cristiana's birthday, and Greg's move to Florida. Of course, that meant
plenty of cake all over the place. |
