It was quite a busy night on 9/30. Many Kurfew boys got the chance to register to vote, thanks to a registration table set up adjacent to the Kurfew message board. ("You're not registered? No Kurfew sticker for you!!!") Other Kurfew boys were busy chatting it up with Felipe Rose (of the Village People) and other VIP guests they celebrated in the Chandelier Room with Tomahawk recording artist Ana DeSilver. Some lucky Kurfew patrons ran off with autographed CD's. The supercute DJ SouthSide made the trek from Michigan to give Kurfew a taste of the Funky House beats of Disco Phever Records.

September 23rd proved that the boys (and girls) are certainly back, and so are the lines! This weekend was one of the busiest ever, with the 103.5 KTU Level 5 special live broadcast and an intensive NYC promotion effort. The line may be longer than ever, but thanks to added staff people, the actual wait is getting shorter and we're working on speeding that up ever more as we approach winter. The CityTripping people were on hand celebrating the launch of the LA and NYC CityTripping city guides.

A live performance by Veronica on 9/16 brought some extra excitement into the club this weekend as she performed her newest dance hit "I'm In Love."

The packed crowd then asked for her hit "Release Me," which she most certainly gave them, to their screams. As Veronica sang her song, the man behind her exciting remixes, Johnny Vicious, was at the turntables! Veronica proved to be an outstanding success in

another area: we witnessed gay couples and straight couples dancing to her music side-by-side on the main floor. The universal appeal of her music suggests that this exceptionally talented recording artist will be moving rapidly into the big leagues. As our September 9th party demonstrated, Kurfew has become quite crowded again. While we're very happy about that, we also know that most don't like a long wait in line (although we've heard that at least a few of you have manage to get dates and phone numbers before even entering the club!) We're adding extra door staff to help move the line more swiftly and get you inside the party as soon as possible! Another secret: get there early, have your Instant Invite from the website, and remember to smile and look cute. = )

Beach Party!

What better (or hotter) way to wrap up the summer than holding a nightclub "beach party" ?!? It's so very Kurfew! Last week we celebrated the launch of the Universal Pictures' film, Bring It On. This week, the party continues with Bring It On beach party giveaways. Wear your hottest beachwear to win cool prizes from Universal Pictures, including:

and more!

Both boys and girls dressed up, or should we say, dressed down, for our "Bring It On Beach Party" and swimwear contest on September 2nd. Drag hostesses Electra, Cinnamon Stick, Lady Q, and guest drag queen Cookie Buffet from Washington D.C. gave away prizes ranging from electric light-up mini-fans, giant "Bring It On" beach balls, T-shirts and more. As Cookie handed out sparkle skin gel to the crowd, Lady Q was wise to remind this crowd: "this is NOT lubricant!"

When we said your "Kurfew was back in Effect" we weren't kidding. August 5th was the most packed Kurfew party in nearly a year...just imagine once the flock of NYU cuties descends onto the city! "Wow!" is how one visitor described our July 29th event after experiencing that special Kurfew combination of friendliness and sexiness that you just can't find anywhere else. At about 1:00 AM, the Message Board area was so crowded with cute guys and girls, that we could barely move (not that we actually wanted to move!) July 22nd was the Ultra Records CD release party for DJ George Acosta, America's premier trance DJ. The Kurfew Krew gave away his newest CD, "awake" to the best trance dancers. July 15th brought the cast of the new play, "Duh" to Kurfew. They had a bit of fun on the dance floor before handing out free tickets to their show.
